Equities Market Summary
Today, the Nigerian Stock Exchange Market closed on a slightly positive note following share price appreciation in PRESCO (+7.68%) and MTNN (+1.27%). As a result, the benchmark All-Share Index (NGX-ASI) rose slightly by 0.94% to close at 134,452.93 points.
Year to date returns rose to 30.63%, while market capitalisation closed at N85.06tn. Activity level in the market was mixed with the total value of stocks traded rising by 6.92% and the total volume of stocks traded falling by 12.79% to settle at N24.23bn and 713.72mn units, respectively.
