The NGXASI declined by 0.34% today to close at 145,367.03pts, as losses in DANGSUGAR (-7.89%), TRANSCORP (-2.34%) and SEPLAT (-1.30%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone for the second consecutive session.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly positive, due to buy pressure observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.93%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 4bps to close at 16.55%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.02% to close at NGN1,534.52/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.71% to USD66.75pb.
