NGXASI Dips -0.73% on Bellwether Losses

The NGXASI declined by 0.73% today to close at 141,566.99pts, as depreciation on the prices of GTCO (-5.11%), TRANSCORP (-5.72%) and INTBREW (-9.75%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone at the end of the trading session.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly positive, majorly due to the bullish momentum observed across all three ends of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 3bps to close at 18.08%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a quiet note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 16.64%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.12% to close at NGN1,536.73/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.69% to close at USD66.90pb.
