The NGXASI fell by 0.36% today to close at 141,248.76pts, as downturn in the prices of GUINNESS (-7.28%), GTCO (-3.06%) and ZENITHBANK (-0.99%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bearish, majorly due to the sell pressure observed across the mid and long dated tenors of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 14bps to close at 18.65%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield climbed by 3bps at 16.92%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.06% to close at NGN1,538.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.58% to close at USD67.61pb.
