NGXASI Dips -0.19% on Losses in Blue Chips

The NGXASI declined by 0.19% today to close at 140,284.90pts, as the decrease in the prices of OANDO (-4.95%), ZENITHBANK (-4.35%) and TRANSCORP (-1.98%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bearish, majorly due to the sell pressure observed on the short tenor of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 7bps to close at 18.88%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 3bps to close at 17.14%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.26% to close at NGN1,531.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.61% to close at USD68.20pb.
