The NGXASI declined by 0.41% today to close at 139,722.19pts, as the losses recorded in WAPCO (-5.38%), ZENITHBANK (-2.42%) and UBA (-2.88%) propelled the Nigerian equities market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note due to the mild buying interest observed across the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 18.85%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 3bps to close at 17.17%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.35% to close at NGN1,526.09/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.08% to close at USD68.21pb.
