NGXASI Dips -0.67% on Losses in Industrial, Consumer Goods Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.67% today to close at 138,780.55pts, as the losses printed in BUAFOODS (-3.51%), BUACEMENT (-5.27%) and WAPCO (-9.88%) pushed the domestic bourse into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a slightly positive performance amidst cautious optimism amongst investors, as yields moderated across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 2bps to close at 18.83%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 4bps to close at 17.13%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira traded flat to close at NGN1,526.06/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.03% to close at USD68.85pb.
