The NGXASI declined by 0.45% today to close at 138,159.25pts, as the losses recorded in NB (-5.71%), UBA (-2.03%) and GTCO (-1.09%) drove the local bourse into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a bullish performance, driven by the buying pressure noticed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 22bps to close at 18.61%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 3bps to close at 17.10%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.30% to close at NGN1,521.46/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 2.21% to close at USD67.61pb.
