The NGXASI advanced by 0.60% today to close at 138,980.01pts, as the gains recorded in TRANSCORP (+8.04%), GTCO (+1.66%) and UBA (+2.19%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, as yields contracted across the curve following cherry-picking among investors. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 4bps to close at 18.57%. In the same vein, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 10bps to close at 17.00%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.43% to close at NGN1,514.87/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.72% to close at USD67.11pb.
