The NGXASI advanced by 0.21% today to close at 140,657.92pts, as the gains in GUINNESS (+10.00%), UBA (+2.34%) and ZENITHBANK (+1.52%) drove the local bourse into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, largely due to buy pressure on the mid to long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 6bps to close at 18.73%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 5bps to close at 16.63%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.08% to close at NGN1,502.13/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 1.66% to close at USD66.37pb.
