The NGXASI declined by 0.08% today to close at 140,545.69pts, as losses in MBENEFIT (-7.80%), PZ (-3.33%) and DANGCEM (-3.18%) drove the local bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, majorly due to selloff on the short end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 6bps to close at 18.78%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 4bps to close at 16.67%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.04% to close at NGN1,501.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.54% to close at USD67.39pb.
