The NGXASI advanced by 0.27% today to close at 145,323.87pts, as buy pressure on GUINNESS (+10.00%), UBA (+3.12%) and BUACEMENT (+1.25%) drove the local equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a relatively quiet note as investors shifted focus to the NTB primary market auctions held today. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield marginally fell by 1bp to close at 16.82%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a muted note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 15.60%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.16% to close at NGN 1,447.65/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.02% to close at USD63.09pb.
