The NGXASI advanced by 0.10% today to close at 145,476.15pts, as buy pressure on ETI (+8.53%), WAPCO (+3.45%) and TRANSCORP (+2.12%) drove the local equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by selloffs seen at the mid to long end of the benchmark curve, following the outcome of the NTB primary market auction. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield inched up by 13bps to close at 16.95%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 4bps to close at 15.64%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly depreciated by 0.01% to close at NGN 1,447.83/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.67% to close at USD63.09pb.
