The NGXASI advanced by 1.08% today to close at 147,040.26pts, as buy pressure on TRANSCOHOT (+9.71%), DANGCEM (+4.57%) and ZENITHBANK (+2.81%) drove the local equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by selloffs particularly at the long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield inched up by 2bps to close at 16.98%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 15.64%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly depreciated by 0.18% to close at NGN 1,450.43/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.06% to close at USD63.93pb.
