The NGXASI declined by 0.05% today to close at 146,861.36pts, as the selloffs seen across ACCESSCORP (-2.87%), UACN (-8.18%) and NB (-1.33%) drove the local equities market into the negative region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by bullish sentiment across all tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 17.74%. Although, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 8bps to close at 16.70%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly depreciated by 0.07% to close at NGN 1,455.38/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged lower by 0.79% to close at USD61.45pb.
