NGXASI Advance +0.26% on Gains in Banking, Consumer Goods Sector

The NGXASI advanced today by 0.26% to close at 149,842.82pts, as positive sentiments observed in FIRSTHOLDCO (+10.00%), OKOMUOIL (+6.84%) and ACCESSCORP (+4.00%) led the market to close in the positive zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, driven by sell-offs across the three ends of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 6bps to close at 17.49%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a tepid note as the Average FGN Bond yield stalled to close at 16.71%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly depreciated by 0.03% to close at NGN 1,455.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) tilted climbed by 1.36% to close at USD59.72pb.
