The NGXASI advanced today by 0.59% to close at 153,354.32pts, as the gains recorded in BUAFOODS (+1.88%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.35%) and WAPCO (+1.50%) pushed the local bourse into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a quiet note, with a slight positive bias amid cherry-picking at the long end of the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.71%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 3bps to close at 16.67%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.45% to close at NGN 1,449.99/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 0.24% to close at USD61.92pb.
