The NGXASI appreciated by 0.04% to close at 166,154.55pts, as gains in CHAMPION (+9.38%), ZENITHBANK(+1.23%) and TRANSCORP (+1.22%), drove the local bourse into the positive region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note across the three tenors of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 9bp to close at 18.13%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 7bps to close at 16.89%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira marginally appreciated by 0.09% to close at NGN 1,417.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.05% to close at USD64.43pb.
