NGXASI Dips -0.01% on Losses in Banking, Consumer Goods Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.01% to close at 166,112.50pts, as losses printed in GTCO (-1.57%), FIRSTHOLDCO (-1.92%) and NB (-4.01%) pushed the domestic equities market into the negative terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a relatively quiet note, albeit with a slight positive bias amidst the mild buying interest observed at the short end of the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 18.10%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 3bps to close at 16.86%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.16% to close at NGN 1,420.28/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) inched up by 0.02% to close at USD64.14pb.
