The NGXASI declined by 0.52% to close at 165,397.37pts, as the losses recorded in WAPCO (-5.06%), ZENITHBANK (-3.40%) and TRANSCORP (-3.01%) pushed the domestic bourse into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, reflecting the sell pressure observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 28bps to close at 18.43%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a marginally positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 16.91%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.10% to close at NGN 1,422.07/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 1.46% to close at USD64.29pb.
