The NGXASI closed flat at 165,517.56pts, as the gains recorded in SKYAVN (+9.85%), ETI (+2.13%) and UBA (+1.37%) offset the losses in STERLINGNG (-6.67%), DANGSUGAR (-2.40%) and TRANSCORP (-2.38%).
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note following mild buy pressure seen across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 3bps to close at 18.47%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a relatively muted note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 16.89%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.19% to close at NGN 1,418.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.55% to close at USD65.52pb.
