The NGXASI advanced by 0.78% to close at 178,184.54pts, as gains recorded in NESTLE (+10.00%), TRANSCOHOT (+9.40%) and GTCO (+4.95%), drove the equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note driven by positive investor interest across all ends of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 3bps to close at 17.51%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a tepid note as the Average FGN Bond yield traded on a flattish note with slightly negative sentiments to remain at 16.10%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.15% to close at NGN 1,348.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.30% to close at USD69.25pb.
