NGXASI Gains +0.99%, Buoyed by Industrial, Consumer Goods Counters

The NGXASI advanced by 0.99% to close at 194,987.80pts, as the gains recorded in WAPCO (+8.25%), BUACEMENT (+3.45%) and NESTLE (+6.90%) drove the local equities market into the positive zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note driven by selloffs by investors along the short and long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 8bps close at 17.41%. Consequently, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 16.02%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.37% to close at NGN 1,346.32/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 0.46% to close at USD71.33pb.
