
The NGXASI declined by 0.91% to close at 194,484.52pts, as the losses recorded in BUAFOODS (-9.99%), STANBIC (+5.35%) and MTNN (-2.56%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by bullish sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 37bps to close at 17.04%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 27bps to close at 15.76%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.46% to close at NGN 1,355.37/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.70% to close at USD70.99pb.
