The NGXASI declined by 0.06% to close at 194,370.20pts, as losses recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (-8.36%), ZENITHBANK (-2.15%) and GTCO (-1.67%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by selloffs on the mid to long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 14bps to close at 17.18%. Conversely, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 17bps to close at 15.58%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.05% to close at NGN 1,356.11/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.03% to close at USD70.79pb.
