NGXASI Dips -0.41% on Losses in Blue Chips

The NGXASI declined by 0.41% to close at 193,567.81pts, as losses recorded in WAPCO (-8.21%), TRANSCORP (-7.27%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.20%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a relatively quiet note. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield remained flat to close at 17.18%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 2bps to close at 15.56%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.27% to close at NGN 1,359.82/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.82% to close at USD72.14pb.
