NGXASI Dips -0.39%, Dragged by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.39% to close at 192,817.72pts, as gains recorded in DANGCEM (-6.09%), UACN(-4.00%) and TRANSCORP(-0.88%), drove the equities market into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note driven by selloffs seen on the mid tenor instrument. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 5bps to close at 17.23%. Meanwhile the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield was down by 2bps to close at 15.54%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.26% to close at NGN 1,363.40/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 2.64% to close at USD72.62pb.
