NGXASI Advance +1.55%, Buoyed by Gains in Blue Chips

The NGXASI advanced by 1.55% to close at 201,474.89pts, as the gains printed in BUACEMENT (+10.00%), MTNN (+2.43%) and ZENITHBANK (+7.35%) propelled the domestic bourse into the positive terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note on the back of the sell pressure noticed at the long end of the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 5bps to close at 17.71%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a tepid note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 15.75%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.62% to close at NGN 1,357.77/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.26% to close at USD101.84pb.
