The NGXASI advanced by 0.54% to close at 202,559.57pts, as the gains recorded in BUACEMENT (+10.00%), ZENITHBANK (+7.91%) and GTCO (+4.53%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a quiet note, as yields barely moved on most instruments across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield closed flat at 17.70%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 2bps to close at 15.77%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.98% to close at NGN 1,344.42/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 2.16% to close at USD102.37pb.
