The NGXASI declined by 0.69% to close at 201,164.47pts, as the losses recorded in GTCO (-7.41%), PRESCO (-9.30%) and UBA (-4.22) drove the Nigerian equities market into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a tepid note, as yields were mostly unchanged across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield closed flat at 17.70%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 15.77%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.71% to close at NGN 1,353.90/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 4.94% to close at USD108.53pb.
