The NGXASI advanced by 0.11% to close at 200,925.75pts, as gains recorded in GTCO (+3.20%), NB (+2.79%) and MTNN (+2.41%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flat note, as investors shifted focus to the primary market auction conducted today. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged to close at 17.84%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 3bps to close at 15.20%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.29% to close at NGN 1,386.70/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 2.58% to close at USD101.79pb.
