The NGXASI advanced by 0.21% to close at 201,287.78pts, as the gains recorded in MTNN (+5.85%), WAPCO (+1.48%) and NB (+2.82%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the positive territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flat note as investors showed little interest across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged to settle at 17.67%. Although, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a marginally negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield was up by 2bp at 15.78%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.23% to close at NGN 1,386.72/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 5.51% to close at USD118.99pb.
