The NGXASI advanced by 0.21% to close at 201,703.55pts, as gains recorded in ZENITHBANK (+7.52%), GTCO (+7.37%) and STERLING (+6.67%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a mildly bullish note due to buying interest observed mainly at the short and mid segments of the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined marginally by 3bps to settle at 17.66%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 1bp to settle at 15.79%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.58% to close at NGN 1,378.70/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.93% to close at USD101.96pb.
