The NGXASI advanced by 0.54% to close at 203,791.18pts as gains recorded in GUINNESS (+9.88%), WAPCO (+8.52%) and GTCO(+2.66%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note driven by mild sell pressure seen at the long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 4bps to settle at 17.47%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 15.89%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira remained flat to close at NGN 1,359.32/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) appreciated by 1.18% to close at USD97.05pb.
