UNION BANK GIVES OUT HOUSES, JEEPS TO BONANZA WINNERS

 

Union Bank of Nigeria PLC has given out two houses, three prado jeeps, 18 Toyota corolla cars and several motorcycles to winners at the grand finale of its savings bonanza draw held in May, 2010.


This concluded the 10 months promotion of the bank which started in April 2009 and to January, 2010 while the prizes completed  the prizes pledged for the bonanza.

At the presentation ceremony, held at the bank’s ultra modern sports complex, Surulere Lagos recently the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Bank, Mrs Funke Osibudu called on the winners of the Bonanza to be worthy ambassadors of the bank in their various communities; stressing that the bank is still a strong and formidable financial institution capable of meeting the aspirations of its teeming customers.

Mrs Osibodu who was represented by the Executive Director, Commercial & Retail Banking South and Consumer Banking, Mr Adekunle Adeosun said that Union Bank has proven its reliability by fulfilling its promises, urging the winners to remain steadfast with the aspirations of the Bank.

She said that prior to now, many of the winners had doubts as to whether the bonanza was real or not but the presentation has vindicated the bank, enthusing that both management and staff of Union Bank and the customers are happy that the Savings Bonanza ended on a pleasant note.   


She explained that before now, the bank had held various monthly and regional draws across the country culminating in the official presentation of two houses, (a 3-bedroom bungalow in Abuja, and a three bedroom luxury flat in Lagos), three Toyota Prado jeeps, 36 Toyota corolla cars and 180 Motor cycles. Others were N25 million cash gifts and over one million other instant prizes made up of telephone hand sets, T-shirts, calculators, mugs, Rulers exercise books among others as promised.  As the customers sign the various documents for their cars and houses, she urged them to keep faith with union bank and disregard any rumour saying that the bank had been sold; emphasizing that Union Bank will forever be there for them.


Earlier the Winners had treated the audience with various songs and dances of thanksgiving; praising God and Union Bank for making it possible for them to win.  The Reverend Father Augustine Onyebuchi, the Parish Priest of St Andrews Catholic Church

Enuguabor-Ufuma customer of Awka BDC, said that he would personally make sure that Catholic Parishioners in his diocese hear the testimony and continue to bank with Union Bank.


Similarly, Mr Bolanle Victor Agunbiade, customer of Ikorodu Branch of the bank said that he liked what the bank did with the savings bonanza, stressing that it projected the positive image of the bank and that winners were overwhelmed with joy.
