Academy Press Plc operating in the Printing and Publishing sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has proposed to offer investors of the company a 7 Kobo dividend and 1 for 3 bonus in its year 2010 Financial Year End (FYE).

This was contained in the company’s Result for the Audited Year Ended March 2010 released at the Floor of the NSE Thursday August 19 2010 and made available to investadvocate. However, closure and payment date were not disclosed as the Company has be advised to forward the relevant dates for corporate action to the Stock Exchange.

In the  Profit and Loss Information, Academy Press recorded a  rise in Profit After Tax (PAT) from N93.733 million in 2009 year end to N135.030 million in year 2010; indicating a rise of 44.06 percent (44.06%) in the review period.

While Profit Before Tax (PBT) also increased from N133.694 million in year 2009 to N182.85 million in year 2010 representing an increase of 37 percent (37%).

Gross Income for the period under review was N2.016 billion compared to N1.776 billon recorded in year 2009 showing a growth of 13.51 percent (13.51%).  However, investadvocate will do a follow up on the company’s corporate action and inform investors promptly.
