AFRIBANK Nigeria Plc last weekend opened a model branch in Gusau, Zamfara State, as part of its overall business strategy to provide excellent banking services, get closer to customers and expand its business outreach.

 

The model branch will avail the people of the Gusau and its environs best banking practices which Afribank is noted for as the branch is equipped with facilities to offer superior banking services in a comfortable and convenience ambience.

 

Group Managing Director of Afribank, Nebolisa Arah, represented at the occasion by Group Head, Public Sector, Mr. Godfrey Ebetaleye, stated: “We will offer customised service, e-banking, on-line real time and traditional banking services in a convenient environment that offers security and comfort. We are best positioned to support the thriving commerce in the areas and help individuals and organisations with business ideas to realise their dream through customised service and assistance.”

 

Arah noted, “the model branch is a demonstration of our resolve to keep improving on service delivery, develop latent economic opportunities and empower people to attain their personal and business goals and assist institutions and governments to carry out their mandates.”

 

The bank assured that it would play facilitative role in the execution of developmental projects in Zamfara State through partnership with institutions and individuals especially in the areas of revenue generation, socio-economic development, funding, project management and advisory services.

 

Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi, represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Muktha Anka, at the commissioning praised Afribank initiatives to expand its operations in the state and meet the banking needs of the people.

 

He requested the management of the bank to assist the government in its private public sector project initiatives for the development of infrastructure in the state noting that Afribank had proven to be a highly enterprising financial institution going by its initiatives and impact in the society.

 

Afribank has had a long-standing relationship with the Government and people of Zamfara State, having been operating in the area since 1991.
