Crusader Nigeria records N626.84 million loss in 2009 year end

Lagos(investadvocate)-Crusader Nigeria Plc (Crusader) operating in the Other Financial Institutions Sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has declared a loss of N626.837 million in its Audited Year Ended December 31 2009.

 

This was contained in the company’s result released Wednesday 06 2010 at the Floor of the NSE and made available to investadvocate in Lagos Nigeria.

 

To record the loss, Profit After Tax (PAT) of the company was N85.518 million in year 2008 compared to N626.837 million in year 2009; indicating a loss of 633 percent (-633%) in the review period.

 

While Profit Before Tax And Extraordinary Items (PBT) was N372.566 million in 2008 compared to N339.605 million recorded in the Audited Year Ended December 31 2009; showing a loss of 8.84 percent (-8.84%).

 

Turnover rose slightly from N3.700 billion in 2008 Audited Year Ended to N3.921 billion in year 2009 end; representing a rise of 6.0 percent (6.0%) in the period under review.

 

 

In the same vein, Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc (Tourist) operating in the Hotel and Tourism Sector of the NSE posted a loss of N680.676 million in its Audited Year Ended December 31 2009.

 

In the review period, PAT of the Hotel and Tourism Company was N682.870 million in year 2008 compared to N680.676 million in 2009; showing a loss of 0.3 percent (-0.32%).

 

PBT was N642.388 million in the Audited period of 2009 compared to N748.825 million in year 2008 indicating a loss of 14.21 percent (-14.21%).

 

While Turnover in year 2009 was N1.677 billion compared to N1.485 billion in year 2008; representing a loss of 12.92 percent (12.92%) in the period under review.
