Intercontinental Bank Plc has developed the nation‘s first Visa Hajj Card designed to meet the aspirations of existing and prospective customers, who are embarking on the annual Muslim pilgrimage (main hajj) or visiting the Holy Land for the lesser hajj.
This, the bank said, was its newest e-Banking product developed after several months of research work on its Muslim customers who seriously desire a financial product that ensures easy access to foreign currency accounts/balances and financial freedom, while on holy pilgrimage.
According to the bank‘s Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mahmoud Alabi, cardholders could use the Visa Hajj Card anywhere in the world where Visa Cards are accepted to withdraw cash on the ATM, shop using the Point of Sale terminals as well as use for online shopping.
Alabi, who was represented by the Executive Director, North, Intercontinental Bank, Mr. Danlami Sule, at the unveiling of the product in Lagos, on Wednesday, said the use of the card was not restricted to only Saudi Arabia but could be used anywhere in the world and in any currency of choice.
