The Nigeria Office of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has given special recognition awards to Fate Foundation, British American Tobacco Company and 48 other organisations and individuals. This was in appreciation of their various contributions towards the growth of the professional accountancy body in Nigeria.
The awardees were officially conferred with the awards at the Celebration of Members‘ event held on Monday by ACCA in Lagos. The event was also held in commemoration of Nigeria‘s 50th independence anniversary celebrations.
According to a statement released by the body, the Country Manager, ACCA, Mrs. Toyin Ademola, said that the 50 awards given to the organisations and firms were as a result of their invaluable support to the association.
She said, â€ÂÂAs we celebrate Nigeria at 50, we also acknowledge and say a big thank you to 50 organisations and individuals that have supported us in various ways over the years, from sponsoring prizes and awards, to giving their time and resources towards the various programmes in our annual schedule.â€ÂÂ
