Diamond Bank Plc has expressed its commitment to imparting good leadership traits in young Nigerians by continually improving on the welfare of teachers in the country.
The bank stated this in the presentation of awards to teachers, who emerged as winners in the Excellence Award selection process held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.
The Bank‘s Head, Corporate Communications, Mr. Charles Udoh, according to a statement on Tuesday, said the decision to partner with The Inoyo Toro Foundation, the organisers of the annual award, was part of the bank‘s strategy to create a better future for the younger generation.
According to Udoh, one way education in the country is by motivating teachers, who transfer the knowledge to the students. He added that it was based on the need to reward teachers that the bank decided to partner with The Inoyo Toro Foundation.
â€ÂÂWe have sought to partner with reputable non-governmental organisations, such as this, to improve the welfare of teachers as part of our corporate social Responsibility,‘‘ he said.
