LAGOS CLOSING BELL – Head of British, US Missions, Lawmakers on NSE list

Lagos, Nigeria – The new Lagos Closing Bell, a ceremonious event that took off on Monday, December 06 at 2:30pm is designed as the new end of trading day on the local bourse as approved last week by the Capital Market Committee.

 

The administration of Emmanuel Ikhazoboh, the new Head of the Stock Exchange said the new closing bell will allow listed companies and other organisations familiarise themselves with the activities of the bourse while providing necessary information for the market traders and investors.

 

The High Commissioner of the British Embassy in Lagos is scheduled to ring the new closing bell on Thursday this week along with top officials of the Commission.

 

The new United States Ambassador to Nigeria will perform the event sometime in January next year, sources told MBC News Corp at the weekend.
