Diamond Bank gets PETAN award

Diamond Bank‘s commitment and support for the development and growth of the Nigerian oil and gas industry has received a boost as it wins the 2010 Financial Institution Award by the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria.

PETAN is an association of Nigerian technical oil field services companies in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry.

Speaking at the Client Appreciation & Oil Industry Awards 2010 ceremony held in Abuja, a member of PETAN Board of Trustees and Managing Director, SOWSCO, Mr. Samuel Adegboyega, said that the award was in recognition of its outstanding financial support for Nigerian companies in the oil and gas industry over the years.

A statement by the bank on Thursday, quoted Adegboyega as saying that, ”Diamond Bank has been in the forefront of developing and supporting indigenous players in the oil and gas industry over the years.

We know that Diamond Bank is one of the leading banks in Nigeria that is working tirelessly to ensure that the energy sector is developed rapidly by lending full financial support at its disposal in the areas of oil and gas, maritime, as well as power.
