SAN FRANCISCO, August 26, (THEWILL) – The UN Building in Abuja has been rocked by an explosion, multiple sources told THEWILL on Friday morning.
The bomb blast occurred at about 10.30 am. An eyewitness said he saw bodies of wounded victims being transported to the National Hospital in Nigeria’s capital city.
The huge explosion took out a part of the 1st and 2nd floor of the building.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
A top Nigerian security source had a few days ago confirmed to THEWILL the presence of the Al-shabaab Mujahideen terrorist cell in Northern Nigeria. The group has its headquarters in Somalia.
