Julius Berger Nigeria signs undertaking on Corporate Governance, appoints new Director

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Construction Giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBERGER), Wednesday informed the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that its Board of Directors (BOD) has signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Corporate Governance for Public Companies in Nigeria 2011.

This was contained in a notice to the Nigeria’s Exchange and obtained by www.investadvocateng.com in Lagos Nigeria.

The Code of Corporate Governance was issued in April 2011, by Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In the same vein, JBERGER notified the NSE of the appointment of MacDonald Olarinde Tubi as a non-Executive Director on its Board, effective September 26, 2011. “He replaces Engineer Rafui Afolabi Salami who resigned his appointment as a non-Executive Director on the Board of the Company” the Company said.

Tubi has over 31 years of experience in business management within leading global companies. He possesses unique business perspectives and a record of achievements in roles ranging from advertising and marketing to human resources. He has provided human resources leadership to sales, marketing, finance, IT and manufacturing groups in North America, Europe and West Africa for leading global companies. Tubi has a Masters’ degree in Business Administration and Public Relations. He attended Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo and Federal School of Science, Lagos prior to university education in the United States.
