Lafarge WAPCO declares 34.8% Turnover in Q3 of 2011

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Lafarge Cement WAPCO Plc, Wednesday declared a Turnover of 34.8 percent (34.8%) in its Third Quarter (Q3) Report for the period Ended September 30, 2011.

From the Result Announcement made available to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and obtained by www.investadvocateng.com, to record the 34.8% Turnover, the Cement Company in the Q3 of year 2010 made N33.046 billion compared to N44.548 billion in the review period of 2011.

Profit After Tax (PAT) increased slightly from N5.688 billion in the Third Quarter of 2010 to N5.765 billion in 2011; indicating an increase of 1.4%.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) declined from N9.028 billion in the Q3 of 2010 compared to N8.567 billion in the review period of 2011; representing a decline of 5.1%.

In the same vein, Livestock Feeds Plc declared an increase of 115% PAT, the Firm recorded N44.215 million in the Q3 of year 2011 compared to N20.566 million in the corresponding period of year 2010.

PBT also rose by the same margin, Livestock Feeds reported a N63.164 million in the Third Quarter of 2011 compared to N29.380 million in the previous year; showing an increase of 115% in the review period.

Also Turnover was N2.314 billion in the Q3 Report of the Company for the period ended September 30 2011 compared to N1.420 billion in the previous year; indicating an increase of 63.0%.
