Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc Tuesday posted a loss of 48.7 percent (48.7%) in its Third Quarter (Q3) Result for the period ended September 30 2011.

This was contained in the Result Announcement the by the Firm to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos Nigeria and made available to www.investadvocateng.com.

To record the Loss, Dangote Cement reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of N4.4 billion in Q3 of year 2011 compared with N8.57 billion in the corresponding period of year 2010; indicating a Loss of 48.7% in the review period.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) declined from N12.6 billion in the Third Quarter of year 2010 compared to N6.489 billion in Q3 of year 2011; showing a decline of 48.5%.

However, Turnover increased from N65.2 billion in Q3 of year 2010 to N79.6 billion in the Third Quarter of 2011; representing an increase of N22.1% in the review period.
