Ahead of the deadline for the commencement of the implementation of the cash withdrawal limit policy in Lagos State, Enterprise Bank Plc said it had concluded arrangements to ensure a hitch-free continuance of transactions for its numerous customers.
According to a statement from the bank on Friday, its electronic banking service, which comprises the Internet and mobile banking channel, has been strengthened to ensure seamless transactions for its customers across its various outlets in Lagos State.
It will be recalled that the Central Bank of Nigeria had announced that from June 1, 2012, daily cumulative cash withdrawals and lodgements by individuals and corporate account holders would not exceed N150, 000 and N1m respectively, with the pilot scheme commencing in Lagos State by January 1, 2012.
The statement said, “Through the Internet banking channel of the bank, customers will be delighted with the EnterpriseBank Connect, which allows banking transactions from the comfort of their offices and homes anywhere in the world.
“These transactions can range from checking account balances, viewing or downloading statements of accounts, requesting for cheque books and banking transfers to as much as N10m in one go. The banking transfers can be intra or interbank as the case may be. These services will only require that the customer connects his personal computer or smartphone to the Internet and he is on.â€ÂÂ
It, however, said for customers without access to PCs, their mobile phones would suffice as the Enterprise eMobile would enable them carry on the same banking transactions as the EnterpriseBank Connect and a bit more.
The statement said, “Customers on this service can check their account balance, view the last five transactions, conduct intra and inter-bank transfers, purchase recharge cards for self and third parties, and pay for DSTv, HiTv and mobile phone post-paid bills among others.
“Both new and existing customers can sign on for these safe and secured services that will in addition to providing transaction options in the face of the cashless system policy deadline, also give added value in the form of convenience banking in any of the branches in Lagos State.â€ÂÂ
