Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Dangote Cement Plc is set to commission its N93 billion ($620 million) Cement Plant in Ibese Ogun South East Nigeria.
This was contained in a Notice Tuesday to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos Nigeria and made available to www.investadvocateng.com.
According to Dangote Cement, the commissioning ceremony of its 6 million metric tons Per Annum Cement plant at Ibese in Ogun State will be done by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s President on Thursday, February 09, 2012.
“At the request of the President, all guests are to be seated at 11:30 a. m. and not 9; 00 a. m. as contained in the letter of invitation†the Notice said.
As earlier Reported, the Dangote Group owners of the Ibese Cement Plant said the Plant was built to help check the rising price of Cement in the Country.
The Plant that said to be worth $620 million (about N93b) has two lines with each of the lines producing 6,000 tonnes of cement per day, totalling 12,000 tonnes of cement daily.
With a projection of 20,000 bags per day, multiplied by 12, the total bags of cement that will be produced in the plant, according to Dangote Cement, is not expected to be less than 240,000 bags Per Day when fully operational.
The Ibese Cement Plant is expected to produce six (6) million metric tonnes of cement Per Annum.
