Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Tuesday announced the appointment of Ugochukwu Nwaghodoh as its new Chief Financial Officer.
This was contained in a Notice from the Bank to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and obtained by www.investadvocateng.com in Lagos Nigeria.
“The Bank has notified The Exchange of the appointment of Mr. Ugochukwu Nwaghodoh as its new Chief Financial Officer†the Notice said.
According to the Notice, Nwaghodoh holds a BSc. Degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and MSc. in Finance and Management from Cranfield University, England.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Cranfield Management Association. He is a seasoned financial analyst and accountant with close to two decades of experience spanning assurance, advisory, financial control, strategy and business transformation, investor relations, mergers & acquisition, business integration and project management.
UBA affirmed that until this appointment, Nwaghodoh was at different times the Group Financial Controller, Group Chief Compliance Officer and Head, Performance Management in the United Bank for Africa Plc.
This is coming on the heels of UBA named one of the Four Nigerian Banks ranked among the best 500 brands in the world by the ranking done by a London-based company and published in The Banker Magazine.
The Brand Finance ranking said UBA have a brand value of $121 million which was one of the banks’ brands that did Nigeria proud as the country is among the World’s Top 50 by Total Brand Value by Country.
